http://lists.csua.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/gzg-lHi all,
I was wondering wehat experience other have had with th FTJAVA PBEM game.

I have only started playing it just before Christmas and was getting quick
file turn arounds with the server. ie within a few minutes i was getting
replies and then the next turn file.

I sent a game file out on the 30th dec and the next turn file finally arrived
in my Inbox on the 6 jan. Jon was kind enough to look into it but that the
file arrived a few days after his last email regarding it.

Having sent the combat round in for the last turn (finally), my friend got his
response with in a few minutes (and told me i had taken one of his ships out)
buit I am still awaiting the next file.

Is there any particular reason why there appears to be such along delay.

I even started another game on a different email to try and see if that helped
but that game file seems to be delayed as well.

Am I expecting to much form the system?

I do think it is a great game system (PBEM version here) and have supported it
but if this is the norm then i can see my interest disappearing very quickly.

Questions about FTJava are more properly addressed to the ftjava-test

Having said that: it is unusual to have your experience. No one else has
complained so I suspect that the problem is at your end.
