I hate to do the "me too!" thing, but I have to agree with Jerry here. I've
been planning on having this game where the lone mini goes insane and does a
postal on the office building, all the while trying to avoid the SWAT team
(Yup, I live in the U.S.) (Duck!!)

In all seriousness (well, I AM being serious, tho', I'd have to use a
different game system), the only thing that I can suggest is, if you find
them, the Lawnmower Man sets Leading Edge games put out a while back (before
they went out of business, actually). They had a gal, a priest, a mechanic,
and I think the doctor and the Lawnmower guy on
the one pack, on the other they had the/a chimp, cyber Jobe, cyber
doctor, and some other minis...

I figure if you have the patience, maybe converting some of the
Vampire/Mage/Werewolf/Wraith/pixie/treant/sphinx White Wolf games
miniatures might work. Otherwise, maybe model train shops might have something
to offer...

Well, there! That wasn't such a bad "Me too!", was it?

Gosh...if i just had some school children miniatures for those urban scenerios
and that hostage scenerio I wrote for Stargrunt II. I saw them
in a paper catalogue for GZG, how come Geo-Hex in the states don't carry
them? I'd love to have some civilians for my games, and NO ONE else make em!!!
Do I have to order these from the U.K.? Does anyone have any of these? They
look like a great addition to my Stargrunt II games, especially when the new
ships officers come out or are available.

I'd like to see these guys available in America too, but.... For reasonably
good generic civilian types, look at the Ral Partha and RAFM "Vamipre" lines.
They don't all have weapons, and RAFM makes a nice pack that includes a little
girl carrying a Teddy Bear.

There are several figures that I would like to get (I covet the K'Vraak
Infantry listed in the online catalog greatly), but Geohex doesn;t carry them
yet. The only thing we can do is to ask Geohex to get them or order them from
england.

Try any hobby shop that carries any amount of model railroading supplies. They
will either have in stock or catalogs of companies. I can't think of
names off-hand but I've done a fair amount of railroading catalog
surfing and I've seen lots of civilians, workers, etc. miniature figures for
railroad dioramas. These also include structures, zoo and farm animals... tons
of stuff!!

Just to avoid any confusion, I think the 6mms that Alan is referring to here
are from Irregular Mins, who do rioters in 6mm, 15mm and 20mm
(AFAIK).
The are cast & sold in Australia by Eureka, who also do our GZG stuff over
there.

Another place to look are 20mm historicals. Command Post Quarterly #13 has an
ad for Combat Miniatures that includes ranges covering Lebanon 1982 with two
part numbers for Palestinian guerillas, Grenada 1983 including Cuban workers,
and a Modern Police & Terrorists line worth listing in its entirety.

US Police Swat Squad British SAS CRW Unit European style Riot Police
Plainclothes officers
Gunmen/Terrorists
Rioters/Gang Members
British Army Internal Security dress Bystanders
Anti-terrorist squad

They list as packs of 6 or more for $4.50 available through The Emperor's HQ,
Chicago, IL, USA.

Throw in a couple of Rocco Minitank armored cars and let the scenario creation
begin! (and definately follow up Alfredo's train shop tip. HO scale civilians
would fit right in with 20mm historicals)

Another good source of civilians is the Call of Cthulhu line from RAFM. The
Thug, Priest, Journalist and other sets work quite well. The figures are from
the 1920s but many of them can be used in modern games without much problem.
