Hi all, Was checking out the catalog and was wondering if anyone had pics of
the following GZG part numbers?
DSM-135
DSM-139
DSM-140
DSM-143
&
DSM-145
Thanx,
Sorry, Kirk, I'm no help here. However...
I just realized with Jon's admission that this time of year is relatively
slow, we can expect all kinds of advancements, including major work on the
several book products, I'll even mention BDS, and all those piccies that Paul
seems to be waiting on for the web site.
Right, Jon? ;->=
Really? I would've thought that this would be the height of the game
convention season...

Unfortunately I couldn't tell you which ones they are. But I'm sure someone
else on this list could identify them.
I don't have pictures of any of the other stuff sorry.

Britain differs quite a bit from North America in this regard. They seem to
have more shows, but they tend to be smaller. Population density means that a
show can run on just a Saturday or just a weekend and be profitable.
Weather has a lot to do with it. In North America, the weather goes in
extremes. Much of the US and Canada is just a major pain to navigate for a
good chunk of the year. Even when you can get around, you can't rely on it.
One bad snowstorm could ruin a convention.
Population density is less, so people attend from further away. That means
longer travel times, which usually means using up vacation time. In Britain,
the shows are easier to get to. I think there's also an issue with vacation
time. Europeans get a lot more vacation as standard than North Americans.
This all runs into conventions being big events in North America, with gamers
scheduling their vacation time around them. In Europe, particularly Britain,
conventions are smaller and more frequent, and
tend to be entertainment for the non-summer months.

In the US, maybe, but not in the UK. We have a few smallish shows over the
summer months, but the main concentrations of big ones (at least the ones
we attend) are March-April and then Sept-Oct-Nov.

Brahahahah! <evil laugh>
Laserlight, maybe you will be able to fill out your fleet.
I, for one, am waiting anxiously. Any of the following would be welcome
additons: Expanded OUDF line Expanded IF line NI line IC line LLAR line FCT
line New Xeno Ships
- Different KV Clan ships
- Differnt Phalon Tribes
Large Modular Freighters
But you know that you are asking for trouble if you produce starship minis
before BDS, don't you. You will start getting calls for FB3 and
FT3 restarting the Vacheads vs Mud Sloggers list-war.

That's about it - almost all our shows are one or two day events, and
our longest drive to any we attend is about 4 to 5 hours. Excluding UK Gencon
(which isn't a wargames show at all), there is only one show in the
calendar that is residential - all the rest are day-visit events,
usually open from 10am to about 4pm or so.
July and August are our major holiday months - the schools are off, and
a lot of businesses have fixed holiday times round about then as well. The
major shows start again in September, with Colours.

The OUDF are really down to Nic, but there are some IF hulls on the
slips......
The rest of the sugggestions will go into the ideas file (ie: somewhere in
the darker recesses of my mind - and no, you DON'T want to know what
else is in there....)

You know how it goes; sometimes you're in the frame of mind to write,
somethimes to sculpt; if you're inspired to do one, there's NO way you can
make yourself do the other.....

I've got about 60K NPV to go, and that's just for what I envision as the FB3
lists (why yes, I *do* plan to own a *complete* IF fleet. And an example of
each class in 1"=10m, for boarding actions. And a bigger house than I'm
currently in...one day...).
Jon admitted:

Without in any way nailing you down to a hypothetical due date, are we
thinking "July special" or "Christmas present to self" here?

Along the lines of Greedo, towards the end of Witches Abroad? (For those who
are, inexplicably, not familiar with Terry Pratchett, this character is
a tomcat who was turned into a human--approximately..."a needle-toothed
maniac outfitted in black leather for the discerning customer of specialized
tastes.") Never mind, get back to sculpting!
