http://lists.csua.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/gzg-lI've upload a bunch
of photos and ships designs to my website. They are of my Imperial Navy fleet.
I have a bunch of escorts in their final stages of painting and once they are
done I will post their photos as well.

http://lists.csua.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/gzg-lLooking at the BFG
SSD's, these would make good ships for the Knights of St.John I've been
hearing about. OR, since these ships look gothic cathedrals, they would
be perfect for the Papal High Guard I postulated in Oct. 2004 -
http://lists.firedrake.org/gzg/200410/msg00108.html - though an opponent
may scream bloody murder if the BFG player showed up Whirlwind or Protector
class cruisers in his taskforce.

I bought them an age ago to be used as the FRAX which was a Star Fleet Battles
Klingon "SIMULATOR" race,I wrote up a background and made them live opponent,
let um scream all they want, just adds to the play.....) Your idea for their
use as the militant orders ships has merit as they do look the part.

http://lists.csua.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/gzg-llol, the Protector
CH was for a particular player that would field a single ship (no more than a
tin can with a engine at the back) full of fighters or salvo missiles. He once
fired a stack of salvo missle counters an inch and a half high. I tried to
design the FT Imperial Navy to model the BFG Imperial Navy. However the
Whirlwind was built because I was watching the Robotech
Series and pictured it firing like Anime mini-missles.
I actually playtest the two against each other and the Whirlwind won, on the
third turn of firing 3 salvos (good thing too cause it was out of ammo). The
Protector knocked out 3 salvos worth of misses the first two turns, and didnt
do diddly the last turn. Though it would have been fun to take down a cruiser
with only PDS shots, lol.
