- A light gun for self-defence
- A sensor mast with periscopes, thermal imager or similar, for an
example see the Fennek:

- Communication antennae
- perhaps a catapult launcher for small recce drones
- Extra fuel tanks and stowage boxes for long-range operations

I could see a design like this being useful for research and scientific
mission. But for combat scouting, if you're going to the trouble of having a
specialist scouting vehicle, wouldn't it make more sense to have a lighter,
faster chassis also?

Of course a modular, reconfigurable vehicle makes all kinds of sense,
especially for the marine contingent of a combat ship.

It depends on the setting, but for a scout, I'd recommend the HEL. Good range,
compact, no consumables.

I'd buy that.

Personally, the RSTA portion of the fight is the most interesting to me, and
in my understanding of the likely course of military developments, the most
interesting to game.
