etings: Â The nut who started the Warhammer 40k discussion... Â I priced the
game (rules plus some miniatures plus supplies) at a local store. Yikes! I
know it has been a while since I've been involved in gaming, but I didn't
realize prices had gone up so much on miniatures! Â Think I'll stick to
reading the Dan Abnett omnibus I picked up! Â

h, but they're all in the weird L-symbol prices...
Â
No seriously. I stopped buying miniatures when my hands got too bad to paint
them anymore...so that would have been more than ten years ago. You just kind
of forget that time marches on, prices increase, etc. It sure doesn't feel
like my salary has kept pace with prices, at times!!!

A weird L-symbol is worth about two weird S-symbols. *wink*
Jon's prices include the British VAT. If you are in North America, you get the
VAT off the price. If you buy lead (as opposed to resin), the VAT is usually
enough to cover shipping (or it was the last time I ordered some figures).

I keep reminding myself that I'm not getting any younger and ought to start
painting more. I just don't have the time. It's bad enough that every now and
again I think, vaguely, about just selling off the
lot...
