It looks like (cross your fingers) the list machines (and in fact the rest of
the domain) are now coming back, albeit slowly. It will be at least a couple
of days before we deal with the backlog of data, but its in process. Simply
takes a while to drain 200,000 mail messages.

First, let me apologize for the down time. Its been mostly out of my control,
but its still not good. I'm working with the new administrative staff of the
domain to figure out some more robust scenarios for dealing with the lists.
Its possible I'll migrate the lists to another domain, to a large email list
provider (probably google groups), or work with the current provider to get us
hardware more isolated from the recent reoccuring problems. For the next few
days I'm mostly going to be involved in getting things back up and running,
but after that I'll try to send an update on various options, and take input
as to final solutions.
