Have we any new information about what the Kra'Vak are motivated by? Do they
seize planetary populations for slave labour? Apart from the PAU colony
mentioned as 'destroyed' in the FT Future History, do either Star
Grunt or Dirtside mention colonies/colonists as being captured?
G'day,

As usual with gzg its up to the imaging of the individual and Jon is keeping
blissfully silent;)
There have been plenty of theories from disease, "religious" motivations,
reclaiming what they thought was theres through to the age old "there is
something scarier chasing them on". Take your pick and have fun;)
As for our KV invasion campaign set on Mars. No small fodder there, big
sweeping battles with millions involved on the ground and in space. Much more
fun that way even if requires a bit more B than usual in the PSB;)

In the official stuff by GZG it's left unsaid IIRC. Will have to
check. In the fan stuff (Rot 'something'?) I rather get the impression that
it's far more genocidal (with that story above as the inexplicable exception)
then anything we have experienced on Earth; Rwanda, Holocaust, etc., not
withstanding. But that may have more to do with means then intent. I have the
impression that it's not even a case of "suitable only for snacks" with
inter-species
interaction for the Kra'vak.
Gracias,

Oops, sorry, Beth. Of course the Invasion of Mars is a great 'game' extension
of the Siege of Sol mentioned in the official timelines(s). Game first,
reality and/or PSB to follow.

Practice for the Semi-Millenial Barbeque Contest, held every
512 years.
Or maybe not. We won't know for sure until Bugs Don't Surf comes out...

I've obviously read/seen too much Predator/Dragonstar Rising/etc. Didn't
someone suggest sport and profit?

Has a mythic quality, doesn't it? Like Avalon, or next year in Jerusalem...
(waiting for the belabouring of the obvious...)

For those of you who have not heard of or read it, excellent story. Long,
some 13 or so chapters (with several chapters broken up into 2-3
subchapters), but a good read. Highly recommended.

I see I'm not the only one who remembers the _Living Steel_ universe!
The inspiration for the variable-setting Phalon weapons in SG2 came
from some work I did in adapting Living Steel to SG2. I never did finish
writing that up. I figured there wasn't much point (as most of the folks
interested in Living Steel wouldn't "lower" themselves to play SG2).
(Time, once again, to plug the Phalon beta test rules for SG2, found here:
