Welcome, Michael!

First thing, either read DSII or FTII and MT. While you can play them linked,
they are very different games, and liable to turn your head around
if you learn both at the same time. ;->=

Good gosh, man, don't wait on THAT! These are generic rules! Use any micro
armor, or micro machines, or other small tanks/walkers/soldiers for
DSII, just about ANYTHING for FTII! Heck, people make spaceships out of
cardboard and lentils! I'm carving up disposable cutlery!

You just don't everyday see me using that many exclamation points...
;->=

No need for the big investment if you want to play; Jon thinks you'll so like
the ships that you'll eventually buy 'em. I think he's right, given the pile
of his lead I own.

There's FAQ's on the web for all three of the GZG stable, though these are
unofficial fan derived. Also, you'll hear about Fleet Book or Full Thrust
2.5. Expect to hear things that don't make sense from the FT/MT books,
but heck, they aren't THAT hard to figure out. By all means, ask questions!

Whoops, I must have Tuffley-itis.

Some people use different colored pushpins on their cubicle wall...
