Subject: GW and stuff (including rugby!)

I reply that I used to play Space Marine first edition. He gives me a look to suggest that he thought all the dinosaurs were extinct. I go on to say that I'm looking for stuff to use with Dirtside or Hellfire. I get an even starnger look. ;-) (Someone did point out to me that perhaps he's worried that Dirtside and Hellfire are new supplements he hasn't got yet...) > To some degree this is an "American board wargame" vs. "English Um, you didn't notice a little kerfuffle on rec.games.miniatures.* a few weeks ago did you? If he was pasing to someone else then it would have been a forward pass and hence illegal. If he was just throwing it down there aimlessly them I'm not sure what would happen. It probably isn't against the rules. However it is a fairly stupid thing to do. (Why didn't he kick it? Legal and it goes further! Americans can't even master a simple game like Rugby, no wonder they never got the hang of cricket! ;-)) All of this has very little to do with anything that is remotely on topic. So I'll apologise and shut up.
