Gundam Wing

TVGuide says that Cartoon Network will be showing 'Gundam Wing', an anime
series starting March 6th.

The blurb makes it sound like it may be derived from the movies.

Actually it is a standalone series, not based on War Year (0079-80)
Timeline. Bit cheesy and oh soo angst ridden, but then it wouldnt be Gundam
otherwise.

(I am waiting for 8th MS Squadron, which is based on War Year).
