well... I swore I'd never do one of these, but here I am doing it!
I'm sure this is as painful for you as it is for me, so I'll make it brief.
1: havn't read the rules for full thrust yet, but the brief scan of the book
seems real real cool.
2: I AM in the midst of preparing for my first dirtside II game. anyone do any
work transfering Epic Ork's into a dirtside II warband?
3: is full thrust worth it?
ttfn! tia!

There has been some discussion of this in the past, though most of it
concerned using Space Marines in Dirtside II. I barely have time to play Full
Thrust, so I havn't looked at Dirtside II.
> 3: is full thrust worth it?
Well, if you like miniatures battles between spaceships, a game that moves
quickly, and having good tactics determine the winner instead of knowledge of
the rules, then you'll like Full Thrust. It is a great game and can be adapted
easily. My favorite is using Full Thrust in the Babylon 5 universe.
Enjoy,
What do you use for figs?

Re: Playing Full Thrust in Babylon 5 universe:
First, I use Micromachines. They have some disadvantages, e.g. not all ships
are available and they are all the same size miniature no matter the size the
the "real" ship. But they are, AFAIK, the only miniatures for B5 available.
Second, I've played a couple of email B5 games. These are a bit slow, but a
lot of fun.
Also, there will be B5 ship miniatures available sometime in the future in
connection with a B5 game being designed. Once they show up,
I'll probably buy a bunch of them :-)
Enjoy,

I'm dismantleing my epic army as I speak (type).

I'm getting set to do a set of Ork stats, probably tomorrow (suuuure) and a
small FT scenario for a game this Sunday (the 49ers aren't playing until
Monday). I'll post them as soon as I'm done.

cool... you post your's, I'll post mine, we'll schmooze...

There are a couple ships out there that make *passable* B5 ships (operative
word here is 'passable')
The NSL larger ships (such as the Szent Istvan Battledreadnought, which I use)
make fair EAS Omega-class Destroyers (minus the rotating center section;
hey, can't have *everything*...at the moment). The Superdreadnought might be
better
(rear structure blockier than the B-dreadnought, but the front doesn't
have the
same 'small-craft bay' section), but I could only afford so much at one
shot.
:-}
The ESU light cruiser or heavy cruiser (?) could pass as Narn heavy cruisers
(well, the latter maybe better than the former; I use the ESU CA as Narn
CAs).
That is, if you can't find the MicroMachine Narn 'dreadnoughts' (I've only
been able to find *one* - must be the G'Tok! ;-).
Traveller's Darrian Patrol Cruisers make fair EAS Hyperion-class Heavy
Cruisers
(minus the prominent superstructure; creative model-makers amongst you
could probably easily circumvent this and add the gun array, too)
The space-fighter miniatures game out there (whose name I've just now
totally
spaced - no pun intended) has a fighter (which name I can't remember, so
fat lotta help *I* am!) that if you fly it backwards, has a vague resemblence
to what could be a Centauri light cruiser (take the two vertical
fins/'wings'
from their heavy cruisers we've seen time and again and this is close) or
maybe
a Centauri fighter (your choice; I use 'em for light cruisers ;-).
As I said...passable. They'll tide me over 'til the 'real' ships come
out...
(and for those that don't...I'll use the 'passable' ones!)

Sorry for the slowness; I do what I can with the time I got. But that
work and Real Life stuff gets in the way. :-/

Waiting anxiously for these!!

Oh, yeah!

Yes.

I've done a little; but mainly on my Gargants. Most of my DSII
conversions have been for Eldar... and most of _them_ are borrowed from
others <g> I'll dig through my files to see if I have anything typed in right
now; it'll take a while, though.
> 3: is full thrust worth it?
Yep. (says someone who has swapped virtually everything for house rules
<g> - but that's the true beauty of Full Thrust... it is specifically
intended as a basic set, free to tinker with as one pleases... And yes, it is
a good game just as it is!)

if I need to. I plan to have a LOT in infantry, and since a: the basing is
different for some squads b: I need to stretch my guys a little further then
in epic c: I mounted all my guys on an inverted epic base (no holes to screw
with) (that sounds pretty bad...)
I may well debase a bunch of them...
the main reason, is that my epic group and my
dirtside/legionsofsteel/whatareweplayingtoday group are two different
folks, and I ain't played epic in MONTHS.
