Re:Great Disasters: I once dropped my largest exacto knife, continued on
modelling
then noticed that my right foot felt rather -er- squishy in its
shoe... took me a long time to extract the blade from both shoe,

And there was the time when I was ten. I was trying to split the end of a
stick so I could make it into a bow and arrow. I held the stick, with my thumb
pointing up, and put the knife in the end and pushed it down....

You can still see the seam where I split my thumb in two...

Oh, the wonderful world of airbrushing. I was airbrushing some minis with
purple paint. I sneezed into my handkerchief. I looked in the hankerchief and
suddenly noticed that I had sneezed purple.

At that point I found it prudent to invest in a breathing
mask...

Closest I came to anything like that was when I put a pitchfork through my
shoe. I stood there stunned for a moment,
then wiggled my toes and realized the tines went _between the toes_.

In miniatures, the worst I've done is a deep gash on
on my thumb from the ol' exacto. Cleaned it up, super-glued
it shut, and went on with the work.

ROTFL!

Mine was light blue. And I bought a mask that day.

Heh heh.

Mine was black. And yes, bought masks...

You folks are lucky. I once read a post from a guy who was up late priming
miniatures with gray spraypaint. On the way to bed, he left the can on a table
by the side of the bed. The next morning his wife got up (leaving the lights
off so as not to wake him) and started getting ready for work.
And then she reached for what she thought was a can of spray-on
deodorant....

Talk about life-threatening accidents....
