Subject: Re: grav gab....
I agree with Adrian. I don't know if some of you are familiar with the Renegade Legion U-verse, but the Grav tanks would normally be deployed via atmospheric insertion. "Hot Drop". Getting to the ground is one thing, but getting back up is a whole different ball of goo. The Grav tanks would be able to go NOE (Nap of earth), TTF (Tree Top Flight mode) or LAF (Low Altitude Flight mode), but not be able to "exit" the atmosphere. That was the job for the big transport ships. They'd load the Gravs up and then the transports would "exit" the atmosphere. The grav drives on the tanks were powerful enough to "suspend" them from the planets surface, and with enough amplification, lift them higher into the air. But they were not powerful enough to "push" them through the planets gravitational shroud. Or something scientific like that. (What do I know............I just make things.) Unfortunately, the game system didn't have expanded rules for fuel consumption. I would assume, (yes we all know what "assume" entails), that the vehicles would have to "refueled" after an engagement, just as they would have to resupply the ammunition on board. Unless, of course, they are the new fangeled John Wayne ones that never run out of bullets, never needs fuel, and doesn't take%#$ from anyone!:o David -- David L.
