Okay, here's another appeal for help.... Does anyone know of a book or a web
site that would have pictures of some of the ships from Star Fleet Battles? I
have these figures that are, I think, Gorn Heavy Cruisers from the days when
Fasa was responsable for the figures. I think; I've had these guys for a
while. I ran across tehm the other day, and realized that they would be
perfect for Assault Landers for DSII. Each one is about the proper size to
hold four or five medium tanks. The problem is this: the ships look like
bricks with a sloped front,

the gorn ships from SFB are saucers with wings and warp nacelles. multiple
saucers are put together for larger ships. the FASA gorn stuff and SFB do not
look anything alike. sorry.

This is a very cool site - this guy has most of the SFB races and
has a fair number of miniatures from each. Good pictures too.

Unfortunately for you and as already mentioned by someone else, these
apparently look nothing like SFB Gorn ships.

Nope. That's not gorn. And I might add that the SFB gorn ships look a lit
better than this thing. Maybe it's a Gorn shuttle?

It looks like you have the Gorn ships from FASA but for their Starship Combat
Simulator, not SFB. I still have their rulebooks and I am pretty
sure that there is a 3-view drawing (side, front, top) of the Gorn
ships in there. Let me know were and I can Fax for snail mail you a copy of
the page with the pictures.

The Gorn ships for FASA'a Star Trek game did look like the wedges you shove
under a door to keep it open, with warp nacelles added.

Whether that's "better" or worse than the flatened dumbbells from SFB is your
call.

Oops,

I dropped the subject line in my previous post regarding the question about
SFB ships, so I'll repeat myself here to make sure the answer gets through.

Hello,

There are a couple of places that you can look for this sort of thing. Try
going to John Kim's Unofficial Star Fleet Battles Home Page,
http://www-e815.fnal.gov/~jhkim/fun/sfb.html. From there you
can go to the SFB Miniatures page of Battlegroup Ithaca on which you can see a
bunch of the minis. You can also go from John Kim's page to Derrick Kong's SFB
page, which has "scans of product covers." The product covers feature various
ships. The Gorn BC is on the cover of module P6, for example.

That's definitely a FASA Gorn. unfortunately FASA designs differ widely from
SFB designs in terms of the Gorn. All the FASA Garn are big box like designs
while the SFB designs incorporate a disk or two as the distinctive feature.
