Global News Network were today given exclusive access to the historic
events which unfolded out on the Rim today - Damion Day filed this
report.
This morning at 00.15 GST the recently elected President Marcel Sturj of the
Outer Worlds Alliance of Alder Valley Sector made a formal declaration of
independance from the Earth states. President Sturj is quoted as saying " the
rimworlds will no longer tolerate the position they hold with the Earth
states. The continual failure of trade leaving colonies on the brink of
disaster and the never ending raids and strategic invasions by the opposing
sides causing disruption, bloodshed and fear amongst the colonists." The
President, speaking from onboard the OWA Destroyer Onizuka announced the
appointment of a military adviser Lord Lutz Malon who met with Fleet Admiral
Kurionis Kato of the Leningrad (ESU 2nd fleet) and Fleet Admiral Gambit
Kriskov (OWA) aboard the OWA flagship Crazy Horse.
The military commanders were discussing territorial ground as well as the
proposed trade pact between the ESU and the OWA which Fleet Admiral Kato is
known to favour.
After the meeting I spoke with Kato aboard the Leningrad. He told me that
they had agreed on a non-aggression pact along their border and that
as a gesture of trust the OWA had gifted two strike cruisers to the 2nd ESU
-
the Sinhailien and the Kunming. Fleet Admiral Kato was quoted as saying "A
stable force in these territorries between us and the other Earth factions can
only be in everyone's best interest. Perhaps a neutral force in the area able
to defend itself will bring about an end to hostilities for the inhabitants."
The ESU fleet returned to it's own space to deliver the declaration and treaty
proposals.
Long live the ESU!!!!!Long live the OWA!!!!! Freedom for the masses. If
the OWA requires assistance from the ESU Red Banner (3rd Fleet) it will
of course be forth comming. Their continuing struggle with the capitalist
lackies of NSL and their stooges in the NAC is our struggle. Now they can face
their moment of truth and justice at the hands of the alliance of
Freedom
Colonel Po Chung Senior Political Commisar ESU Red Banner Fleet.

<Whew!> For a minute I thought this was going to be an ad for Global Network
Navigator. (Which is a subsidiary of America Online, but with even worse
software and support, if you can believe it.)
