Not surprising that this wouldn't help, as those filter particulates, not
fumes. Have you tried gas mask or other activated charcoal breather, not that
I've certain knowledge of it's effectiveness in this case? Have to agree, a
venting hood would be best.

By the way, a friend at work has been clinically dead at least twice from his
asthma; others may find the thought of following a hobby in a gas mask as
amusing. In our department, we know better.

No, one probably should find better cover than something which is mostly
petrol-filled tank. ;->=

GW/Citadel produced a interesting range of figures (a range of
miniatures based Micheal Morcook's characters, for example).

While I don't have an LotD, I do have a small unit of Melnibonean calvary.
I assumed they are the obvious precursors to elves/eldar, rather than
the Tolkien variety, but I could be wacko. I think I used to have a Moonglum
around, but can't find him.

By the way, Derek, even though I envy your youth, and would lose major body
parts to drop the decade and a half 'tween us, I still think you have some
responsibilities. How dare you allow a mere child such as Beth alone on the
dark, nasty internet! *heh heh*

Oh don't mind him, the grumble from his caveman mode is much worse than his
bite;)

While I delight in the thought of fellow curmudgeons on the list, I was really
trying to see if anyone recognized the quote. I may have bashed it a bit, but
as it was a translation anyway, I figured I didn't have to go look for exact
wording.

There was a whole range of Melnibonean and Pan-Tang (Is that right I'm
working from memory) troops, infantry and cavalry plus the characters who
inhabited Elric's world. There was also a boxed set which contained most of
the incarnations of the 'eternal champion' which occurred throughout
Moorcock's books. I still have Elric and Moonglum. based as heros for my

Elf Army (DBF basing) all the rest were sold or traded off.

Youth is a state of mind.

And I can leave Beth to fend for herself. She grew up on a sheep property
hanging out at the shearing shed and used to play Ruby Union (real football,
also known as 'cross country wrestling' ball optional, it's just used to
designate person to be wrestled) and this was in a male team. She also rode
around on a braham bull, and got a red card while playing soccer. Some fool
made the mistake of insulting Beth and trampling her, she got up and flattened
him with one punch. The kid was so embarrassed that a girl

had decked him, he left the team and was never seen again.

And you think I should worry about Beth?

I assume several on the list would appreciate a heads-up if you find it;
I'd like to know even maker and kit title.

I've just picked up APL's 1898, and if I get Plan Orange to go along with my
1905, I can finally use a scripted scenerio that includes the Nebraska.

No, but after Beth's 'caveman' comment, just wanted to make certain you
thought so too.

While this is a list justifiably proud of it's cordiality (I used to follow
rec.games.miniatures.warhammer *shudder*), her presense has lent a charm that
would sorely be missed.

Oh, yeah, pleased to have you here, too. ;->= Thanks so much for the
glorious eye-candy on the website!

I thought the same thing when I saw an article on some "motorcycle troops"
being trained to drop their bikes and use them for cover. The article did
point out that this was a last resort thing and that they were to drop the
bike so the tires and engine where toward the enemy. The picture had three in
a semi circle with the forth was behind them kneeling. Odd to see "dirtbikes"
being used as hasty cover but there they where.

Right. Not *for* Beth, but *about* Beth. Someone has to protect the rest of
the Net.

True because, IIRC, the first, basic, main and ideally 'only' purpose,
historically, for Motorcycle troops was 'Eyes and Ears' not 'Teeth' for the
army. If they see you then you have blown the job as recon troops (unless you
want them top see you for misdirection...)
