Subject: Full Traveller

I believ that BITS (British Isles Traveller Support) *have* done a conversion
to Full Thrust. I do not know if that have posted it on the web, or intend to
sell it (Again, St Jon might be annoyed with both, as BITS is a semi
commercial concern).

The way I would do Full Traveller.

Scale down the mass. Make this a RPG scale combat system (Ie, the largest ship
in the system would be a Cruiser, and it will out blast and armour all other
ships.

1 mass = 10 tons. 10 mass = 1 Hard Point 10 Hard Points = 1 Bay

Weapons:

Weapons are put in turrents. Up to 3 weapons per turrent (1 beam = Class 1, 2
beam = Class 2, 3=Class 3) Sandcasters = Level 1 shields. Takes 1 slot in
turrent.
Missiles - MT Missiles. Missiles take 1 slot in a turrent, magazines may
store other missiles (1 turn to reload slot).

I will thrash this out more (using Gurps Traveller as a base) and let you know

They're doing it with my approval and knowledge. At the moment it is very
experimental, but we'll come to a licensing agreement if they ever want to
sell it. They were testing a version at UKGenCon - from what I saw it
worked reasonably but still required some tweaking.
