Hi everybody,
I'm one of the Mechworld guys who worked on this. I subscribe to the list
digest but as I did not check my mail I only noticed this thread now. Thanks
for the nice comments! The space dock was our 2011 project (btw: made from
layer upon layer of plastic sheet cut manually...
makes my fingers hurt just thinking of it... ;-) ) We're just getting
ready for this year's Tactica convention on Feb-25 in Hamburg. Please
check our facebook site for details and more stuff.

Brilliant! Thanks for checking in!
That is truly beautiful treatment of the FT stuff.

> Hi everybody,
If I may say so, the Tactica convention is well worth a visit.
http://www.hamburger-tactica.de/tactica/tactica_e.html I have taken part
for several years now. If you can't manage it next weekend, I am pretty
sure, there will be one same time next year :-)
Greetings Karl Heinz
I know I was dumbfounded, and so are the folks on the Lead Adventure Forum,
for the Dystopian Wars terrain as well!
All just beautiful work, showing intense pride.
Thanks!

Just for clarification, the Dystopian stuff is not ours, it is a presentation
by another group at the Tactica convention. We just did the shipyard in the
original post of this thread and some other FT stuff like the light rules
design..

I apologize that wasn't made clear; I realize that a con is a gathering of
various groups, but as a whole, you all seem to be a talented and
industrious mega-group. ;->=

I am planning to go there next year and combine it with a visit to
Miniatur Wunderland (http://www.miniatur-wunderland.de/).
That should end up being a nice long weekend:-)

Fantastic pictures - love the whale and the bowl of petunias...... ;-)
In the group photos of all the MW members there, who is who? It would be nice
to put some names to faces!

While we had a table where we did small fleet action games we tried something
different this year with several famous TV and film starships running a race
course. We had lots of fun and all our players seemed to like it as well.
The group photo is the MW demo team and associated gamers, we were quite a
crowd this year.

Hadn't noticed the "hovering cursor" thing at all, Doug - having
corresponded with the MW guys exclusively by email, I wanted to put faces to
the names of those who had done such an excellent job on the graphic FT Light
versions!

To be fair to Jon, I only added the names to one of the photos after his mail.
