Does anyone know where the Full Thrust FAQ has been lurking these days? It
used to be on Mark Siefert's page, but it doesn't look like it's there anymore.
Also,I'm planning to start collecting the FSE miniatures (the Star Trek
micromachines are OK,but kinda flimsy),and some painting tips would be
appreciated (which is why I'm looking for the FAQ). The main question I have
is how to bring out the panel designs, like the NAC ship on the cover of the
More Thrust supplement. There's got to be an easier way than tracing each line
with an extremely small brush!:) Some sort of ink wash or something?
What kind of primer do most of you use,white/light grey or black?
Brush sizes? Sorry to ask such basic questions (the FAQ could probably
help, but it doesn't look as though it's online). There's plenty of info for
figure painting on the net,but not much in the way of space ship painting
directions.
Ok forgive me if these are in the rules but as the saying goes "I can't see
for looking":)
Can you have more than 1 attempt at repairing a damaged system each turn. If
you use different DCP's What about the Engines. Since they get damaged in
stages can you repair completely dead engines in one round?
Do submunition packs have a fire arc or can they simply shoot at any ship in
range.
Many thanks
> Can you have more than 1 attempt at repairing a damaged system
Spirit say "you can only allocate one DP per system per repair round".
Rationale: DP's represent repair crews, who can only work at a certain speed,
just adding more people would get in the way of the crew on the job.
> Since they get damaged in stages can you
I'd say not, unless you have a "miracle worker" house rule. The miracle worker
house rule would allow you to stack DP's or lower the to repair threshold
value from six.
> Do submunition packs have a fire arc or can they simply shoot at
No they have a single fire arc, the triangle bit, see the FAQ.
> Can you have more than 1 attempt at repairing a damaged system
Yep. I think it says so in More Thrust.
> What about the Engines. Since they get damaged in stages can you
I don't think it's specified anywhere, and a case could be made for yes or no.
Personally I'd say yes: sometime the repair teams get lucky.
> Do submunition packs have a fire arc or can they simply shoot at
This is in the FAQ (and I think the Fleet Book as well) and the answer is that
they fire through a single fire arc. Arc indicated by the orientation of the
triangle part of the icon.
> Ok forgive me if these are in the rules but as the saying goes
According to the Fleet Book: "more than onemay be allocated to a single repair
job at one time...each additional DCP [beyond 1] reduces
[the] needed number by 1. The maximum limit of DCPs
on a single job is THREE, so that the highest chance
of repairing a system is 50% (4+ on a d6).... Note
that ALL teams put on a single system in a single turn make just the ONE
roll." Thus, only one DC repair roll may be made for a given system during a
single turn, but up to 3 DC parties may work together to improve the chance of
repair.
