Subject: [FT] WDA Update

Long in coming, I've updated Weapon/Defense Archive for the first time
since July. Nothing fundamental has changed, but I've tried to finish up

long-incomplete filling in of old WOTWs. Plus, given their infrequency -

and the desire not to burn out with too much discussion for the sake of
discussion, I've renamed WOTW's as Systems Under Scrutiny (or SUS). Aside from
a better acronym, it denotes no timeline or schedule for the

discussion of a given system. If something comes up people want to talk about
it, great. If not, no one will, it is hoped, feel obligated to throw something
out just for the sake if it.

I have included last weeks's discussion of Mines in the WDA as SUS #12.

If you're looking for the URL:

Please let me know if you find anything broken, or if you have or know of
systems (FBx only please) I haven't included. I hope now to be able to update
a tad more frequently than once every 5 mo.

Subject: [FT] WDA Update

The FT Weapon-Defense archive has been updated to 2.7, adding e-mail and

GZG-L discussed systems since the turn of the year (less any I missed):

New for 2.7

      Phalon Fighters
         KV Fighters
Reeves HBW         Burst Pod         ECM MT
Missile         Multimode FIghters       Figher missile Rack
Hyperspatial Distortion Cannon Enhanced Beam Batteries       More and
revised icons (thanks Charles) Â Â Â Â Â Â Finished (I think) copying of
Skunkworks systems into the WDA pages.

WDA URL is:
http://homepage.mac.com/nizenberg/Weap-Def_Archive.htm

Additionally I have updated the Cost/Mass fix tables in my homebrew
rules section:

A request: The WDA (and my other FT pages) are a royal pain to update using
the Mac

homepage system. It's drag and drop, but sluggish as molasses. That plus

my web skills have not kept pace with the times and there is almost
certainly a more efficient way to arrange the pages/images of the WDA.
If anyone has interest, webspace, and some time to help sort it all out,

I'd love to get the WDA (and NIFT in general) a new home.
