FT-Wave guns and the ilk.

I have a question about wave guns and any other genre type weapons, that is in
other people using them, have you found them to be overpowered or not? Also,
do people think allowing a 2MU wide beam to maximum range instead of a
expanding beam would be okey for the wave gun? Also, does anyone have
experiance or a oppinion about the firing/maneuvering limits with the
wave gun in the turn it`s fired? (thinking thrust is okey, but not any other
weapon fire). Just some questions that if replied to will help me decide if
these are overpowered or in FB2 ships/DP`s a weapon that could be
allowed in games.

I don't find them over powered, but others here disagree. If you trawl Jerry's
archives I think you'll find a few threads on this topic.
