Subject: RE: [FT] UNSC DD and a tip from DLD
*** Unfortunately, these also show off my poor painting skills. *** True, but it only cheers those of us pigment phobic gamers! My ESU fleets will never see digital imaging: simple, one color paint jobs. I wish someone could work out an arraignment for FT national decals. However, it did remind me of a point that didn't come up in the discussion on figure company web sites. Painted and unpainted are both very useful for purchase, but for both purchase and after-sale service in the case of multi-part models, 'exploded' images are very useful, especially if done in a way that suggests assembly. Some of my mid-range ESU may never see battle as I just can't seem to get the assembly The current discussion on the DD certainly points to that. The DLD site's pages have both views. Of course, the DLD items are much larger and more expensive per unit, and far fewer in number. The logistics of building the sites are very different, but I'd have to say that it's a worthy goal for any multi-part fig maker. On the other hand, the DLD images aren't 'exploded but oriented-in-space for assembly', but I can be a finicky guy. ;->= The_Beast -Douglas J.
