Noting the concern for generating unbalanced scenarios for the wargame table I have found one way to offset the whines of the losers. Always play the game twice, switching sides for the next game, then you can crow or whine as the case may be, but you have some useful raw data for figuring out who won.

The concept has been around for a long time. I used it 15
years age on a Traveller campaign.
