A quick question on SV Interceptor Pods.

When fired in against fighter groups attacking the SV construct, can SV
Interceptor Pods force a dogfight on the attacking fighters (like screening
fighters)?

This is how I envisioned thier attack. That of a quick-made fighter
screen. Since they can move 12mu, they obviously have range to get into a
dogfight.

The question came up due to the description of the pods as "miniature drones,
like the Sa'Vasku's fighter drones but much smaller and with only a
one-turn lifespan".

I guess that one could take the view that they fire at the target fighter
group from a distance (like non-dogfighting fighters).

G'day Brian,

I'd say No as they act like a scatterpack not fighters with regard to game
mechanics (if I remember correctly, my books are at home).

No. Had they been able to do that, the rule would have said so explicitly.
