[ft]Revised Viggen Spinal Mount

Scramasax Defense Industries would like to roll out their newest preposed
weapon system the Viggen (or Thunderbolt) Particle Beam Spinal Mount. The
weapon has a long range heavy hitting capability, but because the way the
charge beam fires shields seem to downgrade the weapon when it hits a ship
with them on it. System can withstand a solid hit and still keep up firing,
however in a limited role.

Note, SDI would like to point out that an earlier leaked model of the Viggen
Heavy Beam, represent a “prototype” wish list that never was built.

The Weapon uses 18mu range bands but only has 3 d6 per range band 0 to 18, 2
d6 per range band 19 to 36, d6 per range band 37 to 54. Hits per a Beam
Weapon, but does damage as follows d6-any level of shielding per hit.

Takes two threshold hits to fully take the system off line, like an engine.
Following 1st Threshold Check failed, weapon becomes a B3 Beam, and if the
ship carrying this takes the threshold has not fired in the turn. Then the
carrying ship takes 2d6 damage internal hit, from exploding particle chargers.

If System takes damage then it requires a repair center to fix, ship damage
control parties are unable to fix the system in the field.
