I've been scanning some more stuff, and I've even got them posted in a form
that won't take two hours to download.

It's two pages so far, with more coming this weekend. The pages are:

http://www.geocities.com/johnxcrim/GalleryShip2.html

Not many GZG miniatures yet, but that'll be the next round of scans.

It's a sevicable paint scheme, but every time that I look at these ships I
swear that someday I will go back and add details to them. Just don't hold
your breath.
***

Well, if it REALLY offends you, I could always take this ships off your
hands... ;->=

***
Another RAFM Traveller miniature. This one is supposed to be a passenger
liner, I believe.
***

In Traveller, refered to as a Subsidised Merchant, or Fat Trader. Fine liner,
if you wish.

***
Ground Zero Games, a cargo ship. I scanned it at an angle; it was an
experiment, but it seems to have been at least partially successful.
***

Actually, I think VERY effective; The aft being out of focus give depth to my
eyes.

***
I've painted in a sort of "Dazzle Pattern", which looks pretty cool but would
be next to useless on an actual ship.
***

Well, if you're a fan of MK I eyeball crowd, and accept some PSB of 'my ecm
spoofs your FC, so you fall back on said eyeball...

***
I'll take a cool paint scheme over an accurate one any day of the week,
though.
***

You and me, bwana....

Though, it's nice if you can claim both. ;->=

***
Later this weekend, I'll get pictures of some other ships posted.

It ain't that bad! What does kinda annoy me is that I have about 50 Tyranid
ships painted (including some 28mm plastic warrior guns and some Alternative

are larger than a destroyer. The Hiveships might, if you're feeling
charitible, be classified as heavy cruisers...but it's a stretch. Still, lots
and lots of little ships can be quite effective.

Thanks -- I've added that in.

After getting to see it on a decent monitor -- the laptop screen is not
the
best -- I agree. So I did a lot more pictures in the same style....
One of them, an NSL battlecruiser, came out remarkably well.

Good to see that I wasn't the only one with that idea! I've got pictures
posted now, on the fourth and last page of photos, along with my FSE,
Sa'Vasku, and some other NSL ships.

I also revised the first two pages, adding several pictures to each one. The
first page has a ship that needs to be identified, if anyone can
help....

John, just a note about your site. You should probably standarize the way you
have back and forward links on your site. Page 2 and 3 have it reversed, which
can be confusing. And for some reason, the used links are turned black on my
browser and become very hard to read. I use Opera 4.0

Very nice pictures. You wrote that you 'scanned the ships'. Could you
give some technical details ? How did you get such good close-ups ?

The used links, though...I dunno. They remain visible in Netscape and IE, and
those are the only two browsers that I have access to. I'll play around a bit
this afternoon, and change it to a brigher color.

Late last night, I went and added all of the technical details to my main
gallery page -- http://www.geocities.com/johnxcrim , down at the very
bottom of the page. With the ships, I had to use putty to attach them to
something (usually a paperback copy of Steven King's _It_) that would
hold them at an angle relative to the scanner bed. For the top down views, it
was a black calculator, which was positioned so that the miniature was
suspended just a little bit above the bed. It took a while to get it right the
first time, but after that it was pretty easy.

A local gaming group is running gaming for the second year now. Last year we
had over 80 hours of scheduled events, this year more. So all and all, pretty
good, and MUCH better than in the past.
