G'day,

We use 1/1200 or 1/6000 zeppelins. I'm pretty sure they're from
Hallmark, but I can't seem to find them quickly on the Eureka web site so I
can't double check for you.
G'day Jaime,
> What would you ever need 1/1200 or 1/600 zeppelins for?
Well apart from missiles in FT <;)> for the naval minded there's the same
scale warships for WWI and WWII...
Cheers

For asteroids, I just stole some from the landscaping arround the house.
For missiles I have used spinner sinkers (weights) for the missiles.
For a Kra'Vak space station, I have used a Testors model rocket of the Star
Wars Federation Fighter.

Three quarter hoop with a ball in the center? Federation battleship; now that
you mention it, I was planning on cutting off the 'wings', using what's left
for a supership, and now wish I'd bought three so the other two would get
those wings to fill the gap. Dopey moi...
As an aside, I'm claiming the AMT/Ertl Droid Fighters for Texaco
Freetrade zone Naval Service Deep Space Flotillas, not that that stops anybody
from
other uses. ;->=
No, the one that looks like a curvy version of the Imperial TIE
Interceptor.Central cross section (like most Kra'Vak) with 4 sweeping fangs or
arms.
I had each of the 4 arms contain an extended
range (48mu) large K-Gun. The station had
thrusters, so that it could rotate. And the station threw asteroids at the
earth forces as
they approached. Unfortunatly, I had mis-balanced
the game (appologies to the players) in a late change to the rules. The
station was 3 tables shifts back. I had intended for the Kra'Vak to
keep 1/2 of thier forces back in the 2nd shift
section. That way the Earth forces could concentrate fire and advance; in the
actual game I did not do this <frown>. All the KV started on the 1st table and
the point cost was about the same on both sides (not counting the station). I
also had too many ships and the game bogged down, never leaving the 1st table.
If I were to run it again, I would
cut the force by 1/2 and split the KV force
into 3 sections (one for each table shift, probably 50%, 30%, 20%).

We (the KV team) made two good decisions (we threw all our asteroids down the
left half of the table to delay that part of the HM fleet; we started far
forward and thrust backwards while facing forward), and the HM made one poor
decision (they let the rocks delay their center and right while their left
advanced unsupported). The result was that they lost a several thousand points
of ships, while we lost a couple hundred. However, if we'd had unlimited time,
I think the HM center could have kept us occupied while the NSL went down to
hammer the station.
I think it turned out to be too big for the time slot, but I'd hesitate to say
that it was unbalanced.

The MT manual says something about an old kit(this one) ans some GZG parts.

I remember trying to work this out as a mental exercise, but don't recall the
specifics, nor have the book handy to try again. I'm fairly certain the
'block' on the top is a MicroTac resin piece, which would make this pretty
top heavy, though big enough to stand it. ;->=
If I'm remembering right, all the add-ons are on or around that top
piece, except, perhaps, some docked ships.

My bad; it's the same ship as I the one to which I referred, only a larger
model. Also, the rockets, as far as I can tell, come in one piece. The
AMT/Ertl's come in four parts, two for the central section, and the two
'wings', each with two 'fangs or arms'. I think the models' wings are also
thinner and more rounded, which is why I thought they looked like incomplete
intersteller tankers used as deep space raiders.
I tend to like my stations close to 360 degrees, but sounds like it worked
perfect for what you were modelling. The 'bubble' on a**end of the central
part doesn't say Kra'vak to me, though. Did you run it upside down? ('THERE IS
NO UPSIDE DOWN IN SPACE!!!')
