Must multiple fire arcs of a weapon mount be contiguous? Non-connected
fire arcs could be used to represent weapons that while 'turreted', can only
pitch to point fore or aft (as opposed to pitch and yaw) - or could
simulate certain arcs of fire being masked by the construction of the ship
itself.

Yes; FT2 p.9.

By pitching/yawing the ship a bit within its nominal facing, you're able
to unmask most such turrets anyway. Spaceships have more degrees of freedom of
movement than wet-navy surface ships have :-/

OO gave the official answer I believe.

Not if you house rule it... but as noted a 'dip and a jerk' (not shown at
scale) should unmask just about any blockage that was not over arching too. I
can't think of any starship models with a item that masked in that manner...
again, at our scale (undefined) and with just about any decent to good PSB it
shouldn't be a problem in 3D environment.

I would tend to think that they don't have to be contiguous. Historical
examples are the center turrets on dreadnaughts and early battleships to
increase broadside firepower. It seems in-efficient, but I don't think
there is a rule against inefficiency.

B5 EA Omega and Nova can either unmask all of the top or bottom turrets
but not both, same for the centuari. Additionally, the front 2-4
bottom turrets on the Omega and Nova cannot be unmasked for a forward target
without pitching up more than 15 degrees because of the deep nose on the ship.
<shrug> but getting 12 of 18 turrets to bear in all arcs is still pretty good.

Ah, I don't have any B5 ships (never watched the show since I don't watch
even 30 minutes of TV in the usual week - and usually just enough to
spot check what the girl's have on if the door is closed.)

That could be a problem in 3D.

Omega and Nova
http://www.agentsofgaming.com/ob5ea.htm

Omega has 6 small turrets in two rows along the top and a matching 6 on the
bottom, The Nova has 12 turrets in the same positions plus 3 more on each
side, the second superfiring over the first.

and Centuari Primus and Octurion
http://www.agentsofgaming.com/ob5cr.htm

Primus has 4 turrets on top in a 2x2 pattern, with an identical set on the
bottom. Octurion has 6 in a 2x3, with a matching set underneath.

Omega, Nova, and Primus appeared in the show. Also check the EA Hyperion and
Olympus, both of which appeared in the show and have several masked turrets.
