I mount 1 fighter on a sytrene post glued on a penny. Then use 6mm dice to
represent fighter count and endurance.
It is cheap, works well, and you can fit MANY fighters on the table. Just ask
the players of the CanAm FT GZGECC game.

I have vague memories of seeing full color counters of fighters, in proper
Full Thrust scale, on somebody's web page. Does anyone know who that somebody
might be, and where their page might be found? And are there more such
graphics available out there somewhere?
I prefer using fighter stands -- they look much better -- but I need
*lots* of fighters, and it's something of a pain to be maneuvering all those
stands around on a crowded table.
Not sure about the full-color ones, but I have fighter counters on my
website.

I'd have made up a control sheet for the fighters and just check them (and
their endurance) off there. It got a bit confusing telling which

I've come to decide that this is really the way to do things. The status dice
are always getting knocked about by the "real" dice.
I was looking at Brigade's Fighter stand so that I would not have to worry
what die is for what stand. It has a place for the die right on it. Of course
you have a larger stand that way.
Go to http://www.brigademodels.co.uk/ and look under
the 1/3000th Space Ships for "Fighter base type 2".

The problem is that the dice tend to get mixed up with the *other* dice on the
table. It's not a huge problem, but it's a slight annoyance. The ancillary
problems are that all of my fighters are already mounted three to a stand, and
that I don't have anywhere near enough of them.
Worst case scenario, I will just use numbered counters of different
colors...but something with an attractive graphic on it would be much more
visibly appealing.
