Hi I will attend a con in Norway this summer and I am curious what you guys
think of my fleet setup? I've got 2 variants.
1:
4 Volga Super Destroyers 2 Voroshilev Heavy Cruisers
2:
8 Volga Super Destroyers 1 Novgorod Frigate
The rules are you have 1000pts, you have to have more Escorts than Cruisers
and more Cruisers than Capitals. But you don't have to have any Capitals nor
Cruiser. All ships from same fraction, and only FB designs (which includes FT2
if anyone in Norway have that one before the con...:)
Just thought I'd start a nice FT thread here...
Between the two choices, I would take 1. The HCs have good weaponry, good
arcs, enough FCs and a long way to first threshold check.

I think that both options are too heavy on light ships. I'd go for the largest
ship you can get, still staying within whatever fleet rules you're using.

I would choose the above one for the following reasons. The two heavy Crusiers
can dish out a lot of punishment and they will be hopefully targeted first
given you a chance to hit them with the smaller destroyers (who can dish out
some serious damage). My idea would be to let one of the Heavy Cruisers (or
both) take the damage while my destroyers combined their firepower on other
ships. Will it work, I have no idea...
