Okay, that shows the head/neck and the main drive parts okay.
There's a third piece which, in this case, someone seems to have
decided was a radar and stuck on towards the stern--where that
bright rectangle is. If we take this idea, though, it has problems:
a. That's not the original shape of this piece--there's a
circular part above the rectangular part, which would make it stick out quite
a bit; b. The ship already has radar domes fore and aft c. There's no obvious
point at which the two pieces
mate--contrary to the other GZG designs I've built.

Gotcha. Well, that's why I was so hesitant; I couldn't tell from the pic
whether the 'head/neck' was one piece or not.

I've seen plenty of winged shuttles and the boxy other merchants, but never
that one.

Well, the radar in the pic sticks out quite a bit, but I'll assume you mean
monstrously. ;->= Does anyone else see Discovery here?

Only other suggestion is that it might be a mis-packed blister.
Especially
if it's an older, non-clamshell package, KR will be the first to admit
stuff happens.

I actually ended up taking my handy Dremel Tool and 'flattened' a section of
hull, then used a pin vise to make a hole, and pinned the whole thing
together.

I've always tended to take the brute force approach though. (8-)
