am trying to suss out the logistics for the battlerider concept (as realized
in my idea for bioships being shutled about by a Mamaship).
obviously using Hangar #s it gets expecnsive Real Fast, so no real joy there.
on the SS i'm using, 'FTL-Tug' is shown as an option:
where are the rules for this option? Do the levels of FTL capability imply
that FTL level over 1 = # of ships able to be towed? If so, what are the size
limitations to the ship towing/being towed?
dang me and my inability to be able to work the
archives! :-/

What you're probably being asked to enter is a total MASS rating of ships to
be towed.

exactly so! now it works out well.
and apparently _doesn't_ kill of the idea of
carriers/riders. xlnt!

If you're asking what input the spreadsheet uses, it depends on which
spreadsheet it is - so far I've seen at least three different ways of
handling this, though Roger's suggestion seems the most likely one.
If you're asking for the game rules for FTL tugs, they're on FB1 p.8.
Note that the FB1 tug rules still make battleriders quite overpriced
compared to FTL-capable warships, though :-/

To make BR/BT's worthwhile, you have to assume that each tender makes
more than one trip to the target system
