Hey am I reading the AMT rules correctly? Only PDS's within the blast radius
of the AMT may fire on it? What about ADFC controlled PDS's?

(ps, I'm toying with some AMT options. Allowing them to be fired at a
"point" in space. Allowing them to "escort" the firing vessel throughout the
vessel's move, then they move away a specified distance along one of the 12
directions during the missile's second move. During the Xeno war, allowing the
AMT to be upgraded to direct a larger portion of it's blast toward one target
at the cost of greatly reducing the blast radius and
power. Extended range AMT's. I can't help it, I just like to
tinker. :-)

While we're asking questions -- is there an arc limit on AMTs? Had a
player who wanted to fire behind one of his ships. I ruled that they were
front 180 degrees, but either the icon should clue us in or the rules should
state.

Hmm, I assumed that all missiles can move in any direction once they're
launched, so arc limits would be meaningless for AMT's, Salvo Missiles, and MT
missiles.

ADFC-controlled PDSs fire as if they were mounted on the ship protected
by the ADFC (measures the firing range from that ship instead of from the ship
they're actually on, etc.), so are allowed to engage AMTs threatening the
protected ship. AMTs work exactly as Plasma Bolts in this respect.

So, the ADFC ship or ships need only be within range of *any* of the ships
within the blast radius of the AMT, not just the ship the AMT is moving
towards? Just double checking.

Correct.

Ouch. Ok, I'll keep that in mind. I've got a couple of thoughts on AMT's that
I'd like to hash around a bit and post here. I think the AMT rule should
mention the specifics of ADFC interaction with AMT's, because it doesn't seem
clear to me now. My first reading of the rule was that only the blast radius
PDS's could fire.
Hey, would it be fair to say that when a fighter group is "screening" a
vessel, the fighter group is "surfing" the drive field of the ship in order to
stay with it?
