Both states could reshape local use of resources to make up for lack of the others (California could restart oil reserves, Texas could re-start farming farms near the northern border....) but both would be innefficient. Very silly to make such a decision based on such a thing as ego, but then Texas has plenty of that to go around ;) I'm sure Colorado and Nevada will stay with California, we have better beaches...

> Oh dear..I see the civil war is starting late this year. As a matter Well, I have two answers for this one... Answer #1: I would like to build Companies for the NAC, the Pan-African Union, the Arabs, and the Oceanic Union. I'd also like to build some Merc and Colonial units, mostly because the figures are cool. The closest I get culturally is League of Latin American Republics, but Politically I guess I am a NAC'er (I'm Puerto Rican). Answer #2: Good question. The NAC and the ESU are enemies. The LLAR and the NAC probably don't like each other much. Does this mean the LLAR and the ESU are allies? This is somewhat relevant since I am trying to develop the OoB's for the "Mexican's"... I don't imagine the Mexicans would have NAC equipment, unless it is captured junk from one of the border wars... (This is as good a time as any. A whiles ago I said I could always use my non-Jon-approved OoB's for the Puerto Rican National Liberation Army - the "Macheteros". Somebody connected Puerto Rico and the "Macheteros" with Mexico. Other than the Spanish language, there is nothing much else Puerto Rico and Mexico share. Puerto Rico is a U.S. colony/territory/commonwealth/headache (pick your choice, but be careful which one you use when speaking to another Puerto Rican), and the Macheteros are a currently inactive pro-independence Terrorist group. There, I said it. To quote my boss, "back to live action, ladies and gentlemen...) Any geopolitical alliance map out there?

This is petition for Free Cal-Tex to be rightfully named Free Tex-Cal. Its either that or Texas wants to secede from the Cal-Tex Union, making it Free Cal-Ex-Tex.

As a matter Well, given the ships I use I suppose I support the Evil Empire (tm) that dwells just outside the borders of the FT universe. However, since they & I don't agree on lots of things, I'd say I'm a renegade portion of the EE, on a five year mission to seek out habitable worlds to house all the people on the ragtag fleet fleeing the tyranny -- um, wait, I think I'm mixing storylines again. ^_^ > Anyone else? All of the people left in California in their right mind (about 3% of the current population, mind you) are planning to relocate and join the NAC (since we've been annexed by the ESU anyway) or the Hibernians, if the free Guinness offer still stands 8) Come on in! Make yourselves at home! We're leavin'. KJ

As far as other resources go I believe that Texas has a slight edge in natural resources, and California the edge in manufacturing, as of now. what we were (humorously) trying to say is that only a Californian would think that the term Cal-Tex was ok without checking with anyone else. P.S. I used to live in Austin, a city that a lot of Californians are moving to. They spent most of their time driving badly and complaining that Texas wasn't like California. ;-)
