Allan, I'm interested in seeing what you have so far on your Samurai additions
to FMC. I've done some more on my Simply Skirmish rules using
(sort of) FMC/FMA, and you might be interested in them. Want to swap via
direct email?

And by the way has anyone collected the Japanese Corporate Mercenaries? Any
reviews?

As a matter of fact... I have two full platoons of JCMs, fully painted.

I like the figures. There aren't a lot of variations in weapons for the JCMs.
Flechette guns, SAWs and missile launchers are all that there are, but that is
quite sufficient for SG2. The units are vaguely samurai like in their helmets,
but far more realistic than Warzone's Mishima troops. They tend to be slightly
shorter than my NSL troops, reflecting that the people are shorter.

The castings are very nice, with little flash. The poses look good, evoking a
nice sense of fluid motion. Leaders have katanas, making them easy to stand
out. What's more, the female figures (even those wearing helmets) are
obviously female without being caricatures. A couple of SAW troopers come
without them wearing their helmets, allowing them to show off their "bandanas"
(I can't remember the true name for them off hand). There is one pretty cute
figure, a female trooper with her helmet under her arm, and with pig tails. In
honour of Jon's obvious anime influence, I painted two of these with black
hair, one with red, and one yellow (ala Sailor Moon). *S*

They paint up nice and look very good on the board. I can send you pictures if
you'd like (I have some pictures of them scanned to show some friends).

I'd like to see Japanese snipers, and perhaps something like an observer team,
or ECM team, but they make a good general SG2 force. For vehicles, I'm using
my old Kryomek resin grav vehicles as Japanese vehicles, and they look great
with them.

A friend of mine has them. They look good. I'll look at them again this
weekend and take notes.
