Hi,
Well, I played several games of FMA Skirmish and it's derivatives at ECC and I
love this game! As I am several hard drives past when it was first published
on the list, could someone send me a copy? NOTE: I am asking for the old
version that was posted to the list, I am not asking anyone
to violate confidentiality by sending me a recent play-test version. I
understand it has evolved quite a bit, but I'll take whatever I can get.
Thanks, Martin Connell

The list archives has it (posting here as it's possible you're not the only
one who's curious):

Thanks, I spent half an hour before I made the request looking in the archives
and couldn't find it. Thought it might have been removed for security....

Nope, everyone has to stand by their posts here... :-)
(I did once elide someone's old business phone number, since he'd shut down
the business and it was now his personal phone number, but that's about it.)

Soon after I get the time to write it.... ;-)
(That is, actually write the book - as opposed to designing the game
system, which is now largely done).

So we have preliminary versions of FMA skirmish from previous emails, but I
remember there being a Medieval adaptation of FMA skirmish. Was that anywhere
in the email archives? Thanks.

I don't recall a medieval adaption of FMA skirmish, but I have an old
Stargrunt adaption.

There was an old medieval/fantasy version of FMAS. In fact, I think it
predated the FMAS playtest that Jon released to the mailing list by at least a
year. I remember, because I suggested that the rules be called FMC, for "Full
Metal Codpiece". Jon seemed to like the name. *grin*
I don't know if I still have those rules. They don't bear much resemblance to
FMAS anymore.
Okay, thanks. Full Metal Codpiece is the ruleset I was thinking of, but I
didn't know it was actually older than the current incarnation of FMAS. Oh
well.
