HI all, a quick question. I've been following the KV railgun
discussion, and a thought occured (I know, a dangerous pass-time). I
have not seen the Fleet Book yet, only got FT2 MT and DS2 a couple of weeks
ago, but the discussion here leads me to think that the Fleet BOok
changes the design system. Is this so? And if it is, does this make the books
I just got obsolete? I hope not.
Thanks in advance.

Yes the FB design system is very different.
> And if it is, does this make
Lots of the stuff is still relevant, the fleet book doesn't cover it and you
need the other books.
You are missing some of the newer rules everyone is talking about.
To be fully complete you need all three really, so I'd order the FB if you
enjoy the game.
> And if it is, does this make
Not to steal Tim's thunder, but even though the design system is diifferent in
the FB, it doesn't make FT and MT obsolete. We've always said, if you want to
stick with FT2, then by all mean do so.
I do agree with his estimation that if you really enjoy FT, then the FB is a
great addition.

RUMBLE....

True, but you won't know what on earth we're talking about here quite a bit of
the time. And the FB effectively deprecates the FT2 design system.
In isolation or with a group that are using it, you can play and design with
FT2 to your hearts content.
If you want to play PBEM, quite a lot of them are using FB.
As you have a limited budget, it would make a great christmas present from
someone if you drop a huge hint.
