Subject: [FH] PAU

I'm going to designate two more PAU world names:

Sahel ("Resting place") --settled by Mandinga, Sorku, and other ethnic
groups from western Africa. Religion is primarily Muslim, mixed to some extent
with pagan traditions. Much of the habitable area is savannah, coastal
lowlands, and marsh. The PAU draws upon Sahel for
its armor/cavalry crews and a number of pilots. Terraforming has been
extremely successful and the agricultural sector is thriving; Sahel also
enjoys the benefits of being at the junction of several interstellar trade
routes.

emaXhoseni ("the place of the Xhosa"): settled primarily by Xhosa and related
peoples, mostly Christian, plus Khoi and San ("Bushmen"). The livable area
consists of one supercontinent with an inland sea. The varied terrain causes
the Xhosa to build combined arms brigades rather than specializing in one
area; the burgeoning industrial base means that they can afford to build those
units, although equipment is of course not up to the standards of the Major
Powers.

While we're at it, we might as well add more details:

KwaZulu ("the place of the Zulu ") has a high degree of axial tilt, resulting
in hot summers and cool winters in the relatively small habitable area of the
planet. Terraforming efforts have finally
allowed the planet to become agriculturally self-sufficient, although
at the cost of draining capital from industrial development. KwaZulu's
formations are short on armored vehicles and artillery; on the plus side,
KwaZulu infantry is very well regarded and is much in demand for mercenary
assault troops.

Quite a bit of West Africa is Muslim too, often in a mix with Christians and
animists that must be quite...interesting. I'd say the official colors would
probably be black, yellow, green and red. I haven't come up with any unusually
brilliant ideas for painting the ships, though.
