What is the general consensus about FB2 KV Ships? And how many people use
their own designs, rather than the Official classes?

I can't answer your quesiton, but Dean Gundburg was gracious enough to provide
some Kra'Vak Altaran Clan ship designs for the Full Thrust Ship
Registry (http://www.ftsr.org/ft/ft25/gov.html non-human governments are
toward the bottom of the list).
