Is anyone in possession, going to be posting an objective review of the
Earthforce Sourcebook (ES) FT rules for B5?
Is it any better than the unofficial FT B5's out there?
Does it cover the Shadows and Old Ones?
Which Aliens does it cover?
etc.
sincerely

Err, I was just about to do this this morning, I'll sort it out asap.
> Is anyone in possession, going to be posting an objective review of the
Hmm.. How objective is objective? A lot of B5 fans have a very specific way
they expect the 'game' to behave. When it doesn't (for whatever reason) is
that a bad game, or a lack of objectivity? But someone who *isn't* a fan of B5
is hardly likely to buy it now are they?

See above - it might be closer to a particular interpretation, but
that's all I suppose you could say if it was faster, easier to play etc..
> Does it cover the Shadows and Old Ones?
I don't think so - isn't the B5 RPG set series one, before the Shadows
showed their proverbial faces? Besides which, any battle between the young

Which one? There are so many. These rules work pretty much like all the other
FT systems:
--Pulse Cannons are represented by beam batteries.
--There is a Heavy Energy Beam Weapon that needs recharging and doles
out heaps 'o damage.
--The younger powers use true vector movement, the Minbari use a version
of the normal FT rules.
--Interceptors work like screens and can be set to shoot down fighters.
--It uses a new and unique damage system. It's not totally disimilar
than the FT system, but their are some noticable differences.
--Fighter rules have some new goodies.
> Does it cover the Shadows and Old Ones?
No, the scope of the game occurs years before the Shadows became an issue.
> Which Aliens does it cover?
Narn, Centauri, Minbari.

You mean it's actually out?

defeat, and some made small and mean by victory. Greatness lives in one who
triumphs equally over defeat and victory.

No it does not cover The Shadows or any other Old ones, not even Vorlons.
Races covered: Earth Force, Centari, Narn, Mimbari. Thats it. The comabt
systems looks good. It would appear to be better then any house rules I have
seen; but, I have yet to playtest it.

Here in central USA, it arrived at a local store the end of last week. I
got my pre-paid copy yesterday, and as previously stated, it is sitting
unopened on the shelf. Nobody holds a grudge like a Welshman...

So rather a lot of Irish farmers are finding out lately. God knows what our
lot did to them though. Competition I think. Anyway enough of that. At least
you can get your hands on the book. I'd be interested to hear what Jon has to
say about biased and all as he may be. How does it differ from normal FT?
On another unrelated topic has anyone played the new Warhammer Epic computer
game Final Liberation yet? What do you make of it and its campaign system? Any
plans for something like that with DS2 out there? Pardon my rambling all.
