I think there is a misunderstanding here. The AC130 has a cannon on it along
with 40mm bofors and mini guns, it's a fire support aircraft not a transport,
so you guys are talking two seperate things. <grin>. AC130 is not a transport.

** Tom hangs head in shame. When I read Adrian's comment, I thought he meant
that it was lighter and a lighter vehicle could carry it but he'd mistyped and
got aircraft. I see later that what he meant was air portability. I was
confused.... I was pointing out that aircraft don't usually mount such beastly
ordinance however Ryan correctly pointed out that Adrian hadn't actually

meant any such thing. Mea culpa.

Yup, its also got a huge plethora of sensors (LLTV, FLIR, MMW Radar) and

Commo Gear. Knowing where to point the 105mm, the 40mm and the 20mm or 7.62mm
is rather important. Anyone know they had a jobbie on the AC130 that allowed
them to detect the RF emissions of truck alternators and home in on them over
The Trail?

I did a stint at LockMart a few Years back, I know my LockMart hardware.
