For an idea on how 'enhanced sensors' in SG might work, here's an article on
what is possible today:

So, better think about what you do in your own home!

Forget your house, *this* is straight out of 'Aliens':

"Time Domain says its RadarVision 2000, which should be available at the end
of this year, can detect motion as far as 30 feet away behind a wall and can
automatically scan for activity at various specific distances.
Small dots on a wedge-shaped liquid-crystal display indicate both the
object's location and rate of movement. "If something has moved on the other
side, we will find it," says Glenn Morris, Time Domain's vice president of
engineering for government systems. The company has received a $6 million Army
contract to develop SoldierVision, a portable,
eight-pound, battery-powered version. The device could allow an advance
scout or an unmanned reconnaissance vehicle to scan buildings for signs of
activity." (quoted from the link Karl provides above)

Now, they just need to add that nerve-racking 'bee-beep' noise, and
we'll all know that "They're all around us, man!"

So who is working on xenomorph combat nasties to detect with this toy?
