Hello, In the new Fleet Book design, we see that costs for systems is based on
mass devoted to that system multiplied by a factor based on the sophistication
of that design. Systems dealing with Electronic Warfare are not addressed
quite in this manner in the Fleet Book. Basic Hull designs multiple is 1. Mass
devoted to Hull factor is 2. Weapons systems factor is 3. Fire Control systems
factor is 4. Therefore, Electronic Warfare systems factor should be 5.
Enhanced sensors of mass 1 would cost 5 Superior sensors of mass 2 would cost
10 Spot Jammers of mass 2 would cost 10. Area Jammers of mass 3 would cost 15.
Weasel systems that emulate 20 mass per mass devoted would have a multiple of
5 as well.

For those playing in the Alderson Campaign, you should use these numbers as
well.

Not a very effective system. The idea is to have a SMALL
ship act like a big one. Roughly a mass 35 ship @ 145 points is required to
act as a mass 240 ship. (thrust 8, superior sensors, no weapons or FCS.)

I think you should use a constant size for the sake of simplicity.

Bye for now,
