For everyone that's playing Full Sail on Sat Morning, I've posted the scenario
rules. The link is:

http://mywebpages.comcast.net/mhudak69/FullSailRules.doc

Should be approx 360k. Will work on getting a PDF version put up soon.

I'm hoping for a fun time to be had by all. As well as a lot of trips to Davey
Jones Locker.

Am I the only one whose M$ Word is complaining of corrupted file?

I used Word 2000 (9.0.3821 SR-1).

It worked ok when I went and hit the website. Perhaps a different version of
word?

I should have a PDF up tomorrow.

Openoffice 1.1.4 opened it without complaints.

Save it as an RTF rather than a DOC file. At least one list member uses Word95
and is stubbornly refusing to spend the money to upgrade, despite the pleas of
his sixteen year old.

Word XP...

So much for backward compatibility? ;->=

Anticipating the PDF; thanks, Mike!

Why spend a cent?

http://www.openoffice.org/

..and yes, it'll save just fine in MS formats, without adding to Evil Bill's
coffers, and it's slicker than Word97. (so much, much more polished than
Word95!)

I'll second that. It's how I opened Michael's file up and viewed it. I also
exported it out to the PDF format he's posted using Openoffice. That
functionality is just built in to the productivity suite openoffice provides
FREE.

Cool! I was thinking Pirates of the Spanish Main would be cool to play
with some sort of Full Thrust treatment... (8-)

Here's hoping the treatment I gave it works out. :-)

Ships look good. The bases I made look decent. Hopefully it'll be a nice game
for everyone.

Next year.... submarines.... :-)

Sorry to open a nasty can-o-worms, but did you try to work out a wind
gauge effect?

As always, wish I were there...

I think it's been done a couple of places, including some folks in Belgium.
I'll give it a search.

Not this time around. Was going to give it a prevailing wind from one
direction, and give it an intensity of 0-3, variable round to round (if
it got up to 4, would have some mechanism for rough water). But I think
I threw enough out now with rams/boarding and exploring that I didn't
need an extra ruleset. This time around, I want to focus more on how the crews
interoperate with the ships. If the game works ok this year, perhaps I'll see
about expanding it next year. Got some ideas for some
nasty surprises. :-)

With 3 teams, I didn't want to give any team an early advantage by having the
wind at their back. I think there will be enough as it is this time around to
keep track of.

No question about it; it's always tricky anyway. And, gives me something to
tinker on my own. ;->=

However, as I'd have the fleets closing at a 120 degree offset (rounding a
point?), they could be coming off the wind without advantage, right?
Assuming square-rigged, right?

Just because I've got tonnes o' books and games, doesn't mean I really know.
