I've been very interested in the WWII conversions for DSII, and when I finally
buy the rules, I'm going to give the WWII conversion a go.
A friend of mine is into Moderns and I'd like the group's take on if DSII is
usable for playing Modern 6mm games? Likewise, has a Modern conversion been
done like the WWII one for DSII?
Having one game system for all genres seems like a very nice thing to have,
IMHO.
Thanks in advance...

Yeah, it's pretty usable. It's less work than WWII.
I can write up some guidelines for conversion if you want.
I've done some modern battles but just using the standard rules, basic
firecons and HVC's for older stuff, enhanced and HKP's for M1A1, Challengers
and the like. No ECM etc. Seemed to work ok. See recent posts on "Rock Apes"
for some examples.

There is a short web-article on WWII Dirtside at:

And three must be more in the archives

Sure, I'd appreciate that. It likely won't make much sense to me until I've
gone out and bought the rules, but I'll just save it on disk until then.
Thanks.
