Yes, but it's kind of tough to hit them, unless they've landed. If you do
manage to get a bomb hit on one while it's flying, though, it's quite
effective. IIRC, an American fighter unintentionally destroyed a Zero by
dropping a fuel tank on it.

The answer to the question you actually meant is also yes.

Yes.

Can you put DFO on VTOLs?

Can you launch missiles in high mode?

This is nothing compared to the British mortar crew that shot down a Belgian
"Flying boxcar" doing a paradrop over a German training area. Must have been
in the 60s or 70s.

I'm wondering if the original question had more to do with "putting DFO on a
VTOL" as in "Equipping a VTOL with DFO", NOT "Subjecting a VTOL to attack by
DFO."

Maybe the question's original poster can clarify?

You will notice that in the second paragraph, he was being serious, if
grammatically incorrect.

Congratulations, Chris! You've succeeded at humor so subtle, folks can miss
it! Next thing you know, you'll get a rep as a thinker... *duck*

The sound you hear is a human head repeatedly pounding a desk. Can't believe I
missed that.

Nevermind; I misread an error into it. We blush together!

Definately the question, if poorly phrased. Can my VTOL Gunship carry and drop
a DFO?
