Taking the good Mr.Barclay's advice, i AM asking the list. Des anyone have
a picture of the GZG assault lander (DSM-118)? I'm curious as to what
it looks like.

I believe I do...but I'll have to dig it out to be sure. IIRC it looks
like the big resin lander GZG had for 25mm. If photos would help let me know.

Wasn't aware the big resin lander was for 25mm, I thought it was just a
honking big 6mm kit (It *IS*, after all, shown in the DS II Rulebook). If the
smaller one looks the same, I know what it looks like. Still curious, IS that
what it looks like?

You're getting the models mixed up; the one in the DSII book is the
MT-28
big resin dropship for 6mm (still available from us, though we tend to only
cast them up when ordered); the DSM-118 is a much smaller metal mini,
which
is a scaled down copy of the SF25-56 Dropship for 25mm (which is a BIG
resin kit, about 300 x 200 mm assembled, and now available from us again as
a limited edition - ie: it'll be available as long as the moulds last,
which may not be all that long....).
I have a catalogue pic of the 25-56 which I'll ask Paul to put onto the
catalogue site on Monday; the DSM118 is an exact replica, but 1/5 the
size.

So for reference, this is a dsm-118 that Jon's just said the big one
looks like, yes?:

Yes, I've got 3 of the 6mm ones.

I've seen it. Nice ship. but too big for my liking for DSII groundscale. Maybe
if I commit heresy and play SG in 6mm.....

I see. I'll check it out. Kevin thought DSM was a scaled-down MT-28
(Funny, the catalog #'s also make great fictional designation #'s). I just
wanted to know for sure what it looks like.

I look forward to it. Does Geo-Hex have a pic? Might save you the
trouble if they already have it up.

Dunno, but if it is, I like.

Not what I'd want though. But probably a fluke.

Sorry if I didn't communicate it correctly but the one I had located (both the
DSII version and the resin 25mm one) were the ones in the
style of DSM-118 and SF25-56.

The 25-56 is a massive, multi-part beast. Should have seen the look on
the faces of some of the customs people when I came back into the states
from England with that and some of the resin bunker pieces like those in
the SG2 book in my luggage.;)

Yep. Also the lander shown in the drawing on page 17 of More Thrust (which
everyone should have downloaded from the GZG catalogue site by now <g>)

I've got one of those, and it makes a great centre piece for SG battles,
especially when you make a landing pad for it.
