The Alarishi Imperial Armed Service fields quite a number of Combat Walkers in
all sizes, but I have no idea what figures to use. This is for DS2 so they'd
need to be 6mm scale. The size 1's should, if possible, look like upsized NSL
power armor. Larger sizes should, well, look like 6mm vehicles. Suggestions?

The ATI Battle of Hoth Action Scene has an AT-ST that's
perfect for a class 2 or 3 walker. Unfortunately, there's only one in the box,
which would make it an expensive figure. 'Course, there are also 3 attack
shuttles (class 3 or 4 aerospace fighers or something for FT), and you
could probably convert the AT-AT bodies to FT capital
ships.
Some of the smallest Battletech walkers could probably
be used as-is, and if you look carefully, you could
find some others where you could leave off some bits to make them
significantly smaller.
We've used Battletech walkers in the past, despite them being oversized, but
it's not an ideal solution.

Well, you can forget all but the smallest Battletech figures, they're hugely
disporportionate. Their small stuff could pass for class 4+. For
smaller, here are a couple of suggestions:
1. WH40K Epic stuff. I've never played the game, but for years I've gleaned
the figures for stuff for other games.
2.Micro Machines has put out a couple of Star Wars AT-AT and AT-ST
figures, see if they work.

Well if you can find them, use the old Warhammer 40K plastic Dreadnoughts.
These are about 6-10 mm tall. Link to a pic of them is below with a
nickle for scale.

Scotia Micromodels (in N. America from Simtac) have a couple of very nice 6mm
infantry walkers. Big rounded things, with a gun arm and, for the
Heavy Support model, some sort of backpack-mount weapon.
(vertical-launch
GMS/H?). come to think of if, they do look sort of like the NSL PA.
Scotia also has soem very nice 6mm PA - I've got an entire reinforced
battalion plus supports awaiting painting, one of these years. The regular
microarmour vehicles are also very nice.(lots of them around, too. Further
battalions, in fact...)
On the down side, you should consider spending the extra Shipping &
Handling to deal directly with Scotia in the UK - SimTac's customer
service record & time-to-delivery is less than stellar, while Scotia's
is excellent. Scotia also has a few more, different minis that Simtac doesn't
make.

I have quite a few of these. If anyone is just dying to have a few let me
know. I could part with some if needed. I have some of the eldar, ork, chaos,
and marine dreads in plastic. Off list please.

Hi. I'm interested in finding out more about Scotia's models. Do you have any
photos or know where to find some? Especially for the 6mm infantry figures.
How big are they compared with the GZG ones?
Do you also have addresses and/or webpages for Scotia or Simtac? Thanks
in advance for the info.

I've fielded mecha a few times in my games and I used Ral Partha's Battletech
line. Some of their mecha look goofy, but there are others that
look pretty cool. They are 1/300 scale and look very nice with the
vehicles and troops for Dirtside.

The Battletech powered armor figures should work well for small
walkers--they're way too big for regular PA. For regualr PA, you could
try the GZG figs (the NSL guys I bought last month seem to look pretty good
against my CinC, GHQ, and Heroic and Ross figures).

Sorry, I've got no photos of my Scotia stuff, and none of the websites I know
of are illustrated...

I've only got the Scotia Powered Armour. It's bigger than the GZG infantry,
but then it's PA, so it looks pretty good.

Simtac was last seen at <http://members.aol.com/dins/index.htm>.
Scotia itself doesn't have a webpage (they're UK-based) but The
Miniatures
Page <http://theminiaturespage.com/> will have contact information -
check the Manufacturers Index.
