Okay Oerjan i think i see what you are getting at.

your "defence" modifier ie. old stealth plus ECM. Is a single die independant
of vehicle size when fired at by missiles
and is a dice based on size - "defence" for fire from directed weapons.

A better way (IMO) is too combine Stealth plus ECM stealth, and make ECM a
seperate chassis option.

This way a lo-tech force would take an "unshielded" tank and give it
a PDS to protect against missiles.

The hi-techs on the other hand would have tanks that are protected
against missiles by inbuilt "shielding" and then depending on how
hi-tech they are, they can further improve the defence by additional
layers of shielding.

This way you can better balance the defence/stealth cost since you
would no longer be balancing an option that gave both a constant and a
variable improvement.
